The Bacup Natural History Society became a registered charity (1045767) on the 12th April 1995. To encourage interest in local
flora and fauna and social and industrial history. To maintain and operate a museum, library and lecture programme to support this.
A committee of eleven which includes four trustees carry out the day to day running of the museum and we have approximately
100 members.
